THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE SUPPORTED SARGE!
His surgery went perfect and he will be returning to his foster home tomorrow. We were able to receive the full amount we needed! We could not of done it without you! Earlier this week Sarge received a chest xray and it was discovered he had a hematoma next to his heart. Surgeons advised he received bi-weekly xrays to monitor it. Sarge was given an additional xray this am and it was said the hematoma had shrunken a great deal already! YaY!!! Nothing but the golden road to recovery for you now Sarge! Thank you all again!

Sarge was seen by surgeons at MVS this morning and it was determined he would need a surgical procedure to repair one of his pelvis fractures. It is important he has this procedure this week because it is causing some damage to his intestine. He will be operated on THIS COMING THURSDAY. We have to pay for his surgery at that time and the cost is estimated to be between $4300.00 and $5400.00. If you are able to donate towards his care ANY AMOUNT is GREATLY APPRECIATED. Our supporters have never let us down and we know you are here for us now. THANK YOU FROM ALL OF US AT MISFITS!

Misfit Sarge is a lil trooper! Dropped off to Warren AC after being found by a citizen where he was seeking shelter in their garage. It appeared Sarge was unable to properly walk and bear weight on his hind end. Today (2.21.14) he visited our vet for an exam, heartworm test and xrays. The xray revealed he is suffering 2 breaks on the right side of his pelvis. It is likely he was struck by a vehicle. Our vet referred us to specialists for further discussion and options for treatment. Either they will be able to repair the breaks with various hardware or he will be required to be on crate rest for 3 months while it naturally heals. Sarge is about 2 years old, he was weighed in his box/bed :) and the scale said 22 lbs. We think he's a Norfolk Terrier mix. He is not complaining very much about his current situation and is very nice to everyone he meets. Tomorrow (2.22.14) he will be visiting Michigan Veterinary Specialists for further discussions. Please send positive thoughts for Sarge. He sure deserves it for what ever he's been through.
Thank you to those who have donated to my surgery!!
