All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines (rabies, distemper w/lepto, bordetella), heartworm tested (if 7 months or older) (treated if positive) and microchipped prior to ALL adoptions. Application must be completed prior to any meet and greet. A meet will then be set up, usually, at the misfit dogs foster home. Then a home check and foster to adopt contract. There is a foster to adopt trial of 2-4 weeks to help ensure a 100% match with misfit dog and family. We provide food, some favorite toys, a crate and some treats for the trial period.
If all goes well, adoption completion with full vetting paperwork and Adoption Contract!
Layla is a 4 month old, female, Pit mix. She is a good girl that does well with dogs, kids and cats. She is 99% house trained and learning some basic commands. Layla is a submissive girl that will do best in a home with another dog. She is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped! Want to meet her? Applications below!
I’m Brandywine! I am 10 years young! I am looking for my retirement home! I am housebroke, I don't need to be confined (I don't like that anyways:), love car rides and walks too! When I came to Misfits I had a hematoma, but that was corrected with surgery right away! I am really a low maintenance girl! I ended up in rescue because both of my parents passed away within the last year :( I love belly rubs and will flip right on my side for them! I am not a fan of any other animals and a quieter home would be best for me. My hearing isn't the greatest and my vision is off, but hey, that doesn't stop me! I became real comfy in my foster home quickly, so transitioning in a furever home will not be an issue! I am Spayed, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and on flea/heartworm prevention. Want to meet me? www.misfitangelsrescue.org for an application!
*UPDATE* Sprinkle Dot is doing great in her foster home! She loves other animals too! She will start her heartworm treatment November 2018. Sprinkles was found as a stray, though her family was found, they did not want her. She was "put out" for "pissing in the house all the time". Upon her first vet visit she had a Urinary Tract Infection, which would explain the "pissing in the house". So when she was "put out" for that she became heartworm positive too. We have never seen such a little one with heartworm. She has started her 30 days of Doxy prior to treatment. Stay Tuned.
I am a 10 year old, 60 pound, Pit mix! I am the happiest dog! I love to chill, go for walks, car rides, baths, the vet and anyone I meet!! I get along very well with all other dogs, big and small! Cats unknown. You like to get kisses? Because I like to give them! I sure don't feel or act my age, that's for sure! I am spayed, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped. Want to meet me? Applications can be found at www.misfitangelsrescue.org On 10.08.18 I had a much needed dental cleaning and 2 small lumps removed too!
9 months old now! And I haven't grown! I am about 40 pounds! I am still learning things but if you are slow and patient with me I catch on real quick that things are ok. I am only going to get better and better from here. I am crate trained, housebroke, good with older dog savvy kids, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, on prevention, spayed and microchipped. I will need a family that will continue my socialization. I MUST be in a home with another dog. I came from a animal hoarding house in Detroit Animal Control found rescue placement for all 18 of us too, Thank you. I never really had the socialization a pup should have so I am slowly learning that people are awesome, I don't have to live in the basement or outside and that baths are good too. Most of the other dogs at the house had moderate to severe demodex mange, I have 2 spots that are being treated. I do love being around other dogs, so I must have another dog in the home when I am ready for adoption. Stay tuned! It's never too early to put in an application! wwwmisfitangelsrescue.org
Moonshine was brought in by animal control. She was hemorrhaging and (seizing the night before per the owner) due to pyometra (an infection in the uterus of an unspayed female that is life threatening and must be treated quickly and aggressively) She was spayed as soon as possible that very next morning and stayed at the vet for 2 days after. Her life was saved by Warren Animal Control for acting fast. She was 15 pounds underweight. She is about 6 years old. Moonshine has had numerous litters of puppies and a horrible ear crop also. She has learned what it's like to live in a home. Moonshine would do best in a more calm home, she is the calmest dog ever! She is good with other dogs with the same energy. Moonshine loves to cuddle, go for car rides, great at the vet and in the bath. She does not tear up things she shouldn't, she does not need to be crated. She carries around her stuffed, squeaky toys like babies. No cats. Older kids would be best. To meet Moonshine, applications can be found at www.misfitangelsrescue.orgMoonshine
My name is Abby.. I was found in Detroit, dumped at a park. I was pretty skinny and beaten up. Thankfully someone stopped and picked me up. No owner came for me during my stray hold. I am about 3 years old, with a few litters under my belt, unfortunately. I am now spayed, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. I take some time to warm up to new people and once I do I am a sweetheart that loves to cuddle!! I like to give kisses too :) I do love to play and I have a good amount of energy. I would do best in a home with a younger male as I tend to have a dominant nature. Older kids or no kids for me. No cats would be best also. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application below!
I'm Coraline but my friends call me Cora, and I am 8 months old! I am a small, spunky gal that loves to play! I love all dogs and people I have met! Nylabones and tennis balls are my favorite so far.. On chilly nights I like to cuddle with my foster parents.. or get my older furry foster siblings to play! I was left in a crate a lot prior to coming into rescue because i was not potty trained, so I think that sometimes accidents in my crate, while my foster parents are at work, are still ok.. but I am getting it! I promise! I do enjoy being outside or anything that you like to do! Spayed, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm tested negative, microchipped. If you want to meet me please fill out an application at below!
